How To Get Long Lasting Results From Your Hair Extensions

PRE-INSTALLATION

Always wash your hair extensions prior to installation while leaving the hair ties intact. This will allow you the see the authenticity of each hair texture. If you see any discrepancies, please contact us immediately and we will resolve the issue accordingly.

INSTALLATION

Use the over and under method when installing your hair. We advise against sewing through the wefts as this can cause excessive shedding. Additionally, you may seal your wefts using a high quality weft sealant. Only cut your wefts when absolutely necessary.

WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

Conditioner only wash (co-wash) is recommended 1-2x times per week. This is to ensure your hair is retaining moisture and periodically cleansing any build-up that could cause matting or tangling.  Should your extensions need deep conditioning, we recommend using a thick deep conditioner containing smoothing properties to minimize unwanted frizz.

Always use a heat protectant when heat styling to avoid damage. Keep in mind, excessive heat styling can alter the original curl pattern and texture of the hair due to similarities of your natural hair.

OVERVIEW

As an overview for curly hair care, co-washing is recommended 2x per week. This is a non-negotiable step and essential for the best results.

  2. Brush or comb for desired style.

PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS

We recommend hydrating conditioners with smoothing properties to maintain the moisture and reduce frizz. Below are a few of our favorite products.

     CURLY HAIR

Our curly textures require a more extensive haircare regimen due to the upkeep of curly hair. Our curly textures comes from single donors, meaning our hair would look as if the hair was your natural hair!

Keep in mind, curly hair is more porous than straight textures, meaning it pull moisture from the air causing the hair to puff up. Once the hair puff up and the cuticles become rough the hair may lose its curl pattern. This is what leads to tangling and matting. It is important to have a realistic expectation of the maintenance for this hair texture. Which is why it’s important to follow a routine care regimen with curly hair to help prevent these issues.
